Applications are now open for Bernstein Leadership Group (BLG) Cohort 14.

Bernstein Leadership Group is an 18-month leadership experience designed for individuals who want to strengthen their connection to Jewish Charlotte, grow as leaders, and help shape the future of our community.

Throughout the program, participants explore the people, organizations, and issues that define Jewish life in Charlotte and beyond. Through engaging discussions, site visits, conversations with community leaders, and hands-on philanthropic experiences, you'll gain a deeper understanding of our community while building lasting relationships with a diverse cohort of emerging leaders.

You'll also develop practical leadership and communication skills, hear from inspiring speakers and subject matter experts, and discover new ways to make a meaningful impact through Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte and across the broader Jewish community.

Cohort 14 will meet monthly from February 2027 through August 2028.

All sessions will be held on Sundays at Shalom Park, 4-6:30 PM, unless otherwise noted. All sessions, dates and times, are subject to change. We will give as much notice as possible of any changes.

Commitment:

By submitting this form, I agree to uphold the goals and commitments of the Bernstein Leadership Group (BLG).

• BLG is an 18-month commitment, running February 2027 - August 2028, with sessions held once a month (typically on Sundays, from 4:00-6:30pm). 
• To ensure a meaningful interaction and the creation of a cohesive group, participants are expected to maintain active participation in the program and make every effort to attend each session. I understand that if I fail to meet these obligations, I may be asked to withdraw from the program.  You are allowed no more than three excused absences. Attendance at the retreat (May 2027) is required. 
• BLG is an interactive, hands-on program, and participants are required to prepare a class presentation and do preparatory reading when assigned. 
• BLG is a leadership program which is guided and informed by Jewish values. As future leaders, BLG participants are asked to fulfill the obligation of Tzedakah (giving charity) and personally make a meaningful gift to the Jewish Federation's annual campaign, which benefits the entire Charlotte Jewish community.
• Thanks to the generosity and legacy of Don (z”l) and Bobbi Bernstein, BLG is offered to participants at a subsidized cost. A $218 non-refundable registration fee is due upon acceptance to BLG. The fee helps cover the cost of supplies and program delivery.
